Lee redshirted the 2013 season while recovering from knee surgery in 2012.

In the final meet of decorated senior all-arounder Myia Hambrick's career, the LSU gymnastics team finished in fourth place behind UCLA, Oklahoma and Florida in the NCAA Super Six championships. The Bruins are second in the nation in national championships, trailing Stanford by one.

It was the ideal end to her season and an incredible finish to an impressive career.

"I did not know what score I needed to win", Lee said. "I didn't even know we had a chance at winning", Lee said. What started that was me and our coaching staff just getting real with them about getting (as) physically fit as you individually can ... making choices outside of the gym, those of a champion and they did it. But her big moment came on beam, in the night's last rotation. Sophomore Kyla Ross, Friday's all-around session victor, fell on her routine for the first time this season, dropping her score to a 9.3125.

The Bruins are back on top of the women's gymnastics world.

In the fourth rotation, the Sooners moved onto vault where they put up a 49.4875 to stay on top.

Tonight, the Sooners will begin on beam and rotate through the remaining events (bye, floor, vault, bye, bars). "He came in and just went insane", Kondos Field said.

"We fought until the end", Lee said breathlessly on ESPN after learning she won the championship. "And they came back on bars and did wonderful".

The Sooners went to the uneven bars for their final rotation of the season, recording a 49.5375 behind three 9.9s. The Bruins counted four scores of 9.9 or better - a 9.9 from JaNay Honest, a season-high 9.9375 from Kocian, a 9.95 from Ross and a 10 from Lee.

"This team truly is the easiest team that I've ever coached", she said. "I'm on cloud nine right now". "I had no doubt".

The Sooners were unable to secure a third-straight national title Saturday night with UCLA beating Oklahoma, 198.0750-198.0375, in St. Louis. On the vault, Anna Glenn's 9.8875 set the pace for UCLA's 49.2250. It was the Bruins' seventh gymnastics title.

Lee said she believed the team would pull off the comeback the whole time. The Sooner women, however, the No. 1 overall seed on the distaff side of the championship, fell just short in their bid for a third consecutive national crown. "We got our heads back in the game", Lee said.

OU junior Yul Moldauer topped the field in three individual events and was awarded the all-around title, leading the Sooners to the team victory and become the first Oklahoma gymnast to win four national titles in the same season.

Oklahoma made a strong case for the title, with star sophomore Maggie Nichols leading the way. Her Michael Jackson-themed routine scored a 9.9625.
