Keri and Terrence Smith identified as victims of Richmond double-murder

Homicide investigators have identified the two people killed in a Richmond home early Monday morning.

Thirty-six-year-old Keri Smith and 37-year-old Terrence Peter Smith were found dead in the house in the 6600-block of Eckersley Road around 2:30 a.m.

Their identities were made public by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team on Tuesday.

"Keri and Terrance recently moved tot he richmond ares from Surrey, they also have ties to the Vernon area", says Jang.

IHIT, in a news release, said the pair was known to police and their deaths are believed to be targeted.

"Anyone who was in the area of the 6600-block of Eckersley Road during the overnight period of April 30th is asked to contact IHIT", says Corporal Frank Jang of IHIT, in a statement.

"Nothing that we have found out about either of them suggests that there's any linkages between their deaths and any of the ongoing gang conflict in the Lower Mainland", Jang said.

RCMP were called to a residential neighbourhood in Richmond early Monday morning for reports of gun fire.
