Four women among 5 Kashmiris thrashed by mob for feeding dogs

A woman was thrashed by the residents for feeding stray dog in the national capital.

Three Kashmiri women and a man were allegedly thrashed by residents at a colony in Delhi last night.

One of the victims said they were targeted because they are Kashmiris.

"My sisters were abused and beaten up". She had a broken left hand and one of her guests who had come to visit us was also attacked. "It was a planned attack and the accused were carrying hockey sticks", said one of the victims.

He alleged that the accused shouted slogans like "Kashmiri terrorists should be sent back".

The victim said that they were attacked a couple of times earlier as well and were living in fear in the locality for the last seven years.

The Delhi Police have registered a case and an investigation is on.

According to a report published in NDTV, The Kashmiri family that was assaulted told the police that they had been harassed in the last few months.

A police spokesperson said the matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities in Delhi and the police officers in Kashmir are in touch with their counterparts from Delhi. "A probe is on", said a senior police official. In a video clip that went viral on social media, it was seen that there was a scuffle between two women.
