Last week, a new Vivo smartphone called Vivo X21i was listed on TENAA. Or perhaps you'd be more interested in a Vivo X21 derivation with a traditional rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and significantly better front-facing camera.

The Vivo X21i is essentially the Vivo X21 with some differences in the underlying hardware, as its design is exactly the same as that of the X21. "It sports a 6.28" Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 Super AMOLED display with 90.3% screen-to-body ratio.

While the Vivo X21 came with an in-display fingerprint sensor, the new Vivo X21 sports capacitive fingerprint sensor placed on the rear.

Talking about the innards, unlike the Vivo X21 which is powered by Snapdragon 660, the Vivo X21i comes with MediaTek's Helio P60 SoC which is paired with 4 or 6 GB RAM. Interestingly, the 4GB RAM version includes 128GB of storage, while the 6GB RAM version includes 64GB of internal storage, even while it is generally the other way round. But anyways though, you can still expand the storage up to 256 GB via microSD card if you want.

The X21i is a mid-range smartphone and shares some of its specs with X21 smartphone like it runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 and bears the same iPhone X-like notch seen in X21. As far as photography is concerned, we already told you that the smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back. On the front, it has a 24MP camera with f/2.0 aperture; it comes with artificial intelligence and Vivo's own Rubiks Cube technology. It has AI scene recognition that can automatically detect 17 scenes. Besides that, the phone also comes with Face Unlock feature.

Lastly, the Vivo X21i ships with a 3425 mAh battery which is slightly larger than the 3200 mAh battery on Vivo X21, and, you get it to choose from three different colors - Red, Black and White.
