If you do (and you own an iPhone) you'll be happy to learn the three-year old banking service is now supported by Apple Pay.

As ever, Apple device owners can simply setup their PrivatBank and Monzo cards through the Wallet app.

Apple Pay expanded into the 2015 and is now accepted by the majority of the countries major banking institutions, including HSBC, Barclays, Halifax, First Direct, Bank of Scotland, and more. Their design thinking has always been a source of inspiration for us. Apple Pay has been by far the most requested feature over the last few months, and we're glad that it's finally here! - Daniel Cannon, Lead Engineer at Monzo.

UNIAN memo. Apple Pay is a mobile payment system that allows iPhone and Apple Watch users to pay for purchases using NFC's contactless technology, as well as via the Internet. If you don't want to set it up straight away, you can go to the Account tab in your app at any time and tap settings to see the option to add Monzo to your Wallet. To make Monzo the default way to pay, customers just need to drag their card to the front of their wallet. The upstart bank, which usually makes a virtue of its community-driven approach and transparency hasn't been able to say (or even fully acknowledge that the feature was coming), likely because Apple imposes strict rules on the ways its partners communicate working with the tech giant.
