Australian stars Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry will be a part of Harmanpreet-led IPL Supernovas.

BCCI had earlier announced that Harmanpreet and opener Smriti Mandhana will be the captains, and the teams names have been announced as IPL Supernovas and IPL Trailblazers respectively.

Top global stars like Australians Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning will be seen in action in the upcoming one-off Women's T20 Challenge match to be played on May 22 ahead of the IPL Qualifier 1 in Mumbai.

Leading stars from Australia, New Zealand and England will be in action as they join their Indian counterparts for this match.

Alyssa Healy, Australia's wicketkeeper-batter, Beth Mooney, Australia's opener, Suzie Bates, the veteran New Zealand all-rounder, are some of the global stars in the Trailblazers' set-up. The Mandhana-led side also has exciting allrounders in Hazell and India's Deepti Sharma with Beth Mooney and Jemimah Rodrigues rounding off the squad.

Speaking about this T20 Challenge game, Rajeev Shukla, Chairman, IPL, said, "Even as IPL continues to roll like a well-oiled machine, over the last couple of weeks, efforts were made to put in place a similar structure for women cricketers".

This development comes in the backdrop of BCCI and CoA mulling a potential T20 league for Women cricketers in India.

The exhibition match is scheduled to begin at 2 pm and all the IPL rules will be followed.
