Will be updated.A person familiar with the decision says the Cleveland Browns will be featured this summer on HBO's award-winning "Hard Knocks" series.

The Browns have never appeared on the series. The team won only one game in the past two seasons under head coach Hue Jackson, but they selected several acclaimed picks in the 2018 NFL Draft, including No. 1 overall pick quarterback Baker Mayfield and defensive end Denzel Ward.

The Browns also have a largely reworked front office, now led by first-year general manager John Dorsey - who, by the way, was probably not thrilled by this development. Those finalists included: the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens.

Hard Knocks will debut in August and will include 5 episodes from Training Camp. Mayfield is expected to sit behind Tyrod Taylor this season, but their competition could make for the kind of compelling TV that has made the series a must-watch for football junkies.

But Dorsey might not be happy about the news of a team of cameras headed to the Browns facility in Berea, Ohio. "I don't think there's anything good that comes out of Hard Knocks, but we'll see".
