Eni Aluko has announced that she will be leaving Chelsea Ladies "with a heavy heart" following the final game of the Women's Super League season this weekend.

The striker helped them land the Women's FA Cup and Women's Super League titles.

It was announced earlier this week that Aluko, who has made 102 appearances for England, will join ITV's punditry team for this summer's men's World Cup in Russian Federation. "I could not dream of a better ending". Aluko was on the bench as the Blues won the title at Bristol City on Tuesday, and will leave after their campaign ends at Liverpool Ladies on Sunday.

'To my teammates who I adore, the club and fans THANKYOU'. Aluko is yet to lift the lid on where she will be heading, although she reportedly held talks with Paris St-Germain and one other overseas club in January.

Aluko was the subject of an apology from the Football Association past year after former coach Mark Sampson was adjudged to have used discriminatory language towards both her and Chelsea team-mate Drew Spence.
