Instagram is now testing its new features often in different parts of the world.

Instagram is developing a new "Usage Insights" tool that'll show you how much time you've spent over the product.

When the Android P Beta was announced at the Google I/O developer conference last week, the search giant also unveiled a new feature of the next version of Android called "Digital Wellbeing" meant to let users monitor and limit phone usage. Instagram is following in the footsteps of Google.

The feature will allow 'grammers to see "time spent" on Instagram, in an effort to help users to gain an "understanding [of] how time online impacts people". This initiative encourages users to adopt healthier habits like limiting screen time. It hasn't been enabled as yet so it's unclear when this feature will be rolled out for all users.

The social network's CEO Kevin Systrom, linking back to the original report from TechCrunch, confirmed in a series of tweets that the code Wong found is the groundwork for the Usage Insights feature.
