Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 3 will not be present at E3 2018.

In a string of tweets, Pitchford, a well-documented magic enthusiast, laid the groundwork for the implication that Borderlands 3 will skip E3 with a magic-related metaphor.

But will Borderlands 3 be showing up at the entertainment expo at all? "Many of you will find a way to interpret the intent to suit what you want to believe regardless of what is true".

Developer Gearbox Software appears to have confirmed that Borderlands 3 will not make its first public appearance at this year's E3 Show, due to take place in Los Angeles between June 12 and 14.

Borderlands 3 Won't Be Shown At E3 2018
So will Borderlands 3 be at E3 2018 or not? Gearbox's answer isn't so simple

Earlier this week, a representative from Gearbox Software told journalists that there will be no Borderlands presence at E3, and Pitchford tweeted the same.

In other news, as I mentioned Walmart leaked many games that we are hoping to see at E3 2018. Despite Walmart's claim that the listings were purely "speculative", Bethesda's official announcement of Rage 2 earlier this week has added credibility to the theory that this was, in fact at least partially, a legitimate leak.

We're pretty sure that Borderlands 3 won't end up being a mythical item of vapourware like Half-Life 3, but it's clear that Borderlands fans will have to exercise some patience.

Interestingly enough, Pitchford did just that a few weeks ago by tweeting out a link to the Schoolhouse Rock song "3 is a magic number", though this may have just been a tribute to the recent passing of composer Bob Dorough.
