OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 6, the successor to the OnePlus 5T. And we are certainly glad to share that OnePlus 6 passes the extensive scratch, burn, and bend test with flying colours. The phone is covered in Gorilla Glass both on the front and the back. This happens to be the same score as the one that the OnePlus 5T achieved.

The creator behind all of the official OnePlus on-device wallpapers ever since the OnePlus 2, Hampus Olsson, has once again made his artwork available for free.

The device's display scratches at a level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale with deeper scratches being inflicted at a level 7. The YouTuber also reveals that there is a cushion layer of soft plastic between the glass and metal body to protect the phone from cracking when dropped. OnePlus has also bundled a protective case and a screen protector has been installed out of the box to make the smartphone look fresh for a longer time. The rear side of the phone also features Gorilla Glass 5 panel. Out back, the fingerprint sensor and camera don't scratch at all from the razor. The screen was then exposed to an open flame, which it survived for roughly 20 seconds, following which the pixels beneath the exposed area stopped responding permanently.

All five wallpapers from the OnePlus 6. While that's to be expected from an AMOLED panel, what's surprising is that despite there being some flex in the frame, no cracks or kinks were present after a significant amount of force was applied when bending the phone.

A YouTube channel by the name of JerryRigEverything has become the primary resource for smartphone durability tests online.
