"The crossover is going to make it to air in December".

The Canadian actor, 37, teased the crossover Thursday at the CW upfront event in New York City: "We will be doing another crossover event this fall on The CW [and] we will be introducing a new character", he told TVLine.

This isn't the first time a character from the Batman universe of characters has appeared on The CW's "Arrowverse" group of shows; Helena Bertinelli, The Huntress appeared on Arrow as early as the show's first season, and villain Ra's al Ghul has been a recurring part of the Arrow series. "I need to leave right now and start filming it!"

Arrowverse welcomes it's first Bat-family character!

Batwoman's addition also means that the Arrowverse will expand to include Gotham City, something many fans have been dying to see.

While the Arrowverse may hesitate from using the words "Batman" or "The Joker" (after all, Gotham isn't even allowed to use the latter), it does seem as though they are throwing Batwoman into the mix. "This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event".

We'll bring you more details on the CW's bat-tastic plans for the next DC crossover as we learn them, but get ready to gear up for a trip to Gotham this autumn! The next one is scheduled to arrive in December, airing on three consecutive nights from Sunday to Tuesday. The Silver Age Batwoman is best known as Kathy Kane, who was created in order to offset rumors that Batman and Robin were homosexuals. This version is named Kate Kane, a tough-as-nails former military school student, and is actually Bruce Wayne's cousin on his mother's side.
