The spec sheet is three pages long in total, but the highlights include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM and options for either 64GB or 128GB of storage with microSD card support up to 2TB.

HTC is planning a launch event May 23 where it's expected to release its latest smartphone. Other features include the HTC Edge Sense 2 technology with pressure sensitive buttons and customizable gestures. It will reportedly feature a 12-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens, and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with a telephoto lens for 2X zoom and bokeh mode. At the back, you can see the dual cameras, a laser auto-focus module, an LED flash and a circular fingerprint sensor.

"Based on the leaked spec sheet which was supposed to be embargoed until 23 May, the U12+ comes with a 6" Quad HD+ 18:9 display that comes with HDR10 support and Gorilla Glass protection.

Given the OnePlus 6 is out in the wild, we wouldn't be surprised if this leak was more of a plant than a conventional leak, but maybe that's just our cynical eye. The U12 Plus looks nearly similar to the HTC U11 Plus, including its Liquid Surface design-inspired back. Furthermore, the device will be water and dust resistance thanks to the IP68 rating. The phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI, and will be upgradeable to Android P in the future.

What is neat is the inclusion of an always-on Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support. It is possible to work with OIS, AR stickers, Bokeh, hyperlapse and slo-mo features. Further, the phone features 4K video recording at 60fps, slow-motion videos at 240fps. However, the company will be bundling a USonic headphone with active noise cancellation.

With the help of the 3500mAh battery, you will be able to charge the device up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
