An update for Xbox One is coming today on your console bringing several new features and improvements.

We wrote a bit about the May Xbox Update back in April, but here's a quick rundown of the new features.

If you own a monitor or TV that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, you'll now be able to take advantage of that technology with Xbox One X and Xbox One S. This is a high refresh rate and it will make for a smoother gaming experience and lower latency on some displays. It's been in testing with Insiders since then, but today, the update is available for everyone, according to Microsoft's Brad Rossetti. Accordingly, we've updated an earlier version of this post to remove reference to the Group feature for My Games and Apps.

The latest update also introduces account linking between Discord and Xbox Live profiles.

Simpler clip editing. Now, you can trim your gameplay clips directly from the Guide. What you'll find more useful as an Xbox One owner is Discord support which allows you to find friends playing on Xbox through the application and display your status. Previously, you had to find and launch the Upload Studio app to do this.

Final of the new features in this update are enhancements to the Xbox Accessories app, Family Settings, and new intuitive button commands.

As for the upcoming improvements on May Xbox One update, you can now browse through the new "Details" page on your family settings tab to easily check if your family is protected while using the Xbox One. And finally, with the new intuitive button commands, you can use the "View" button on Home to edit the order of blocks or reorder items within Groups.
