Ubisoft boasts 310 million dollar in revenue in the release week for Far Cry 5, "record" performance for Assassin's Creed Origins in the past quarter, thirty million registered players for Rainbow Six Siege, twenty for Tom Clancy's The Division, and ten for Ghost Recon Wildlands.

In line with previous practices and in view of the acceleration of our digital transformation, growth in back-catalog sales and excellent momentum of recent releases, Ubisoft has made a decision to give itself more time to develop Skull & Bonesto offer players an even more engaging experience. While no exact window was given, the first game in the series launched in March 2016, so a March 2019 launch makes sense given how well the first game performed in that slot.

"In line with previous practices and in view of the acceleration of our digital transformation, growth in back-catalog sales and excellent momentum of recent releases, Ubisoft has chose to give itself more time to develop Skull & Bones to offer players an even more engaging experience", Ubisoft's financial report said.

Ubisoft has also announced that Skull and Bones won't hit its expected release date, and that the company now targets a 2020 release.

In their financial conference call pertaining to the 2017-2018 financial year, Ubisoft CFO Alan Martinez revealed a few details about the company's upcoming slate of games. Last year, they sold a total of 23 million copies between four released AAA titles.

Farren discussed the delay in a post on Ubisoft's official forums, noting it's Ubisoft Singapore's "biggest game yet" and the team's goal is still to "build a shared systemic open ocean that captures the essence of the pirate fantasy and is full of activities".

"We also are building a world rich in lore and stories, where you'll come across memorable characters and have the canvas to create your own stories".

In the short and medium term, Ubisoft has many growth opportunities to tap and expects further profitability increases.
