The Twins had gone 16 innings without scoring, including getting shut out 1-0 Monday to the Seattle Mariners in a makeup game at Target Field.

Brewers 8, Diamondbacks 2 - At Phoenix: Travis Shaw, Domingo Santana, Christian Yelich and Tyler Saladino homered in the first four innings off Matt Koch, and Milwaukee routed the Diamondbacks to take two of three in Arizona. He got nine swinging strikes and five called strikes on that Uncle Charlie and the Cardinals only managed to put it in play three times. Berrios struck out 10 batters.

Cardinals reliever Brett Cecil (0-1) allowed a double to Logan Morrison to start the seventh. The Cardinals brought in right-hander Luke Gregerson, who fielded a bunt by Byron Buxton and threw the ball down the right-field line, letting Morrison score and sending Buxton to second.

With two down in the sixth inning, the Twins strung together consecutive singles from Brian Dozier, Eddie Rosario and Eduardo Escobar to tie the game at 1-1.

Marlins 6, Dodgers 5 - At Miami: Los Angeles erased a four-run deficit and still lost its sixth game in a row when J.T. Realmuto's tiebreaking homer in the sixth inning helped Miami win.

Flaherty, just recalled from Triple-A Memphis when starter Adam Wainwright went back on the disabled list with an elbow injury, entered the game with an 0-1 record for the season and 0-3 in eight games in his career. Carson Kelly then singled to center to plate Bader.

Berrios (4-4) surrendered one run on two hits and left after hitting Kolten Wong with a pitch with one out in the eighth. Right-hander Addison Reed came on to get a pair of strikeouts to end the inning.

Addison Reed struck out both batters he faced and Fernando Rodney finished his eighth save in 11 chances with a ideal ninth.
