Serkis, speaking to Gizmodo about the balance between the original motion capture of the actors and the work of animators who followed, was slightly more generous than usual, acknowledging that animators are involved in crafting believable animals.

It'll be interesting to see whether Andy Serkis" version will include tunes like "The Bare Necessities" and "I Wanna Be Like You'. It's perhaps to their misfortune that Disney happened to be a lot faster at getting their story out a long time before they did.

Well, I must be honest that I like what I saw.

Speaking about how the film differs to previous big screen adaptations of The Jungle Book, Serkis says Mowgli allows viewers to see him try to "assimilate into the world of man". Its grittier tone is something which I would like explored.

Mowgli, which stars Rohan Chand in the titular role, also has Freida Pinto and Matthew Rhys in its star-studded cast. Or do you prefer to just watch the 1968 animated classic or the smash hit 2016 film at home?

The first teaser trailer for "Mowgli" has been released.

"It's not so much a child's fairytale, this has a reality to it". So there are real consequences.

"It has a much darker approach to the storytelling, there's no singing or dancing by the animals that's for sure", he continued.

In the trailer, he is heard telling Mowgli, "My, my how you've grown". The director also praised the work done by Cate Blanchett as Kaa and Rohan Chand as Mowgli who goes on a quest to find his own identity in the film. All but one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Its motion capture technique used to capture the wild characters of the story is something to look out for. SO it is a quest and a search for his identity.

A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation of an Imaginarium Production, "Mowgli" will release worldwide on October 19, 2018.
