He approached Reynolds and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick with the idea of using the moment to undo Vanessa's death, which Reynolds wasn't a fan of at first. If so, what did you think of Wade Wilson going back to see his previous, silent self?

More thought seems to be going into this extended cut than normal, it seems.

"I was like, 'No, we can't bring Vanessa back!" Go see "Deadpool 2", and prepare for an eccentric, crude and hilarious time at the movies. I want to make it tight.

"The suicide scene is in there, and there's a scene in the mansion in the kitchen over breakfast". We were sitting there on the Fox lot, the exact piece of the movie we need had been damaged on whatever the transfer was, so we had to go to some backup which was in some vault somewhere in the middle of the country, the United States, and we ended up finally, at the last second inputting it into the movie.

"We had a scene in the kitchen in the X Mansion, which is one of our favorites", confirmed Rhett Reese. As someone who absolutely despises the practice of making an audience sit through five to ten minutes of credits for what always boils down to vague foreshadowing of a sequel (that arguably either belongs on the special features of some collector's edition DVD or in the actual film before the credits roll), I can say with full confidence that "Deadpool 2'"s end credits scene is well worth the wait".

Ultimately, its comedy is what carries the film and what elevates it from just another joke-filled superhero smash.

Then, in the third, he visits Reynolds - back when he was deciding to take the lead role in 2011's Green Lantern film. There's an earlier scene where they're in the kitchen and Colossus is trying to get the soap dispenser to work. Did it ruin any of the movie for you? Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover.

Chatting to Collider, Leitch spoke candidly about Deadpool 2's handling of Nathan Summers (AKA Cable), the surplus of X-Force characters, and the amount of additional footage that was sentenced to the floor of the editing room.
