"I'm grateful every day I get to call her my wife and my soulmate, I wouldn't want it any other way". We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried.

"The miscarriage was a heartbreaking end to a horror tour", Warner said.

"The entire ordeal from the public humiliations to the ball tampering, it had taken its toll and, from that moment, we decided that no sport, nothing will ever impact our lives like that again".

The couple already have two children, Ivy Mae, 3, and Indi Rae, 2, and Warner said she discovered she was pregnant again in Cape Town.

But the 33-year-old told The Australian Women's Weekly on Thursday that her tears were genuine, insisting she was "torn apart" by the sight of David taking responsibility for his role in the sporting fiasco. "I don't think either of us realised how much we longed for this baby". He will now be seen playing club cricket for Sydney's Randwick Petersham from September.

Warner claimed de Kock made a "vile and disgusting" remark about his wife. The ball-tampering scandal added fuel to fire and suddenly cricket took backseat and scandals took the centre stage.

Opening up about her own experience, Candice said: "I was a target right from the start of the tour and I'd have to be bullet-proof for the taunting not to have affected me".

Candice had earlier blamed herself for her husband's involvement in the ball-tampering scandal, saying that the incident was "killing" her.

David, former Australia captain Steve Smith and opener Cameron Bancroft were all banned over the controversy that rocked global cricket in March. "We had been trying since last July and I did a Test when we first got to Cape Town", she added.

Candice Warner hugs her husband David before he fronts the media over the ball tampering scandal.

David Warner and his wife Candice arrive at a press conference in Sydney on March 31, 2018, after returning from South Africa.

"! was completely gutted when I saw the media - especially after 23 hours flying, knowing the world had no idea I was carrying our third child".

The incident could yet spell the end of her husband's Test and worldwide career.
