Father of the Pakistani girl who was killed in the Texas school shooting last week said he believed his daughter would be safe in the US.

Cops say Pagourtzis used a shotgun and pistol during his alleged shooting spree, which belonged to his dad and was reportedly kept in a closet. There are exceptions, but only when the child is under parent supervision or hunting.

The Houston Rockets will give free tickets to Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals to Santa Fe High School seniors, first responders and school representatives, almost a week after a shooting at the Texas school left 10 people dead, a lot of them students.

The lawsuit also argued that Pagourtzis' parents didn't obtain mental health counseling for their son and didn't warn the public about his "dangerous propensities".

He did not know if his parents were planning to hire another lawyer. "I will fight it forever", tweeted Republican Rep. Jonathan Stickland.

The massacre took place in one of America's most gun-friendly states - and while much of the immediate response from local lawmakers has focused on bolstering security in schools instead of restricting gun ownership, Texas Gov.

"The press conference came seven days after a mass shooting at the Houston-area high school left 10 people dead". The Rockets also will honor first responders on the court.

Several of the families who met with him Thursday said they didn't want to talk about new gun restrictions or the politics of gun rights. "We just wanted to step up", Fertitta told the Houston Chronicle. Joleen Cogburn, the mother of the family who hosted Sabika, wept at the funeral wearing a prayer shawl given to her by the 17-year-old.

Johnson noted her government class wrote to Abbott's office after Santa Fe High School had a three-hour lockdown in February because of a false shooting alarm. Friends and family described him as courageous "far beyond his years" and said he often put the needs of others before himself. Substitute teacher Cynthia Tisdale, who was married for almost 40 years and had three children and eight grandchildren, was buried in Dickinson.
