It happened Wednesday on an American Airlines flight from St. Croix to Miami.

"You could sense that the tension was increasing, so I just chose to use my iPhone in case something were to happen", said Bolduc. In one of five the passenger shot from seat 17F, according to the story.

The passenger, who was identified to WPLG by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents as Jason Felix, began yelling at a flight attendant on Flight 1293 on Wednesday after he stopped serving him alcohol, according to documents obtained by the news station. In the video, you can hear a flight attendant deny the passenger's request. "You had a couple beers".

Once the fight ended between the two, witnesses said the instigator's actions didn't improve.

Efforts to calm the unruly passenger went on for more than an hour.

In a statement American Airlines issued to ABC News, they thanked the flight crew for taking care of the other customers onboard and praised them for how well they handled the situation.

"That's preposterous", said Paul George. "I'm actually going on an American Airlines flight right now, so that's kind of uncomfortable".

Bill Bolduc was on the flight.

"Calm under pressure. It was very impressive", said Bolduc.

The passenger, identified as Jason Felix in court documents, was on American Airlines flight 1293.

The flight eventually landed safely in Miami.

It's not clear if the man will face charges.
