Gmail for Android update adds customisable swipe actions

It's a long needed bit of customization, and the ability to swipe in order to snooze any email is particularly welcome.

There are about a million email clients available, but Google's own Gmail app is my personal favorite just because it works so well.

Up until now, the only swipe action you could take on emails from the conversation list was archive. The options for swiping now include: Archive, Delete, Mark as read/unread, Move to, Snooze, and None - and obviously you can customise both left and right.

However, the folks at Android Police have been given the power, and when they go into Settings General Settings, they can tap on the "Swipe actions" option to open up a new customizable interface.

After that, you will see you can change what happens when you swipe right or left.

When you ask your co-workers to send you an email for a screenshot... The latest version of Gmail's Android app lets you customize what swiping does. Yep, you are getting more control over them.
