Just few hours later, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Fitness Challenge" while taking a dig at him. Accepting his challenge, Modi shared a video. Yoga-treadmill r part of my daily workout regime. Not long after, Kumaraswamy replied to Narendra Modi's fitness challenge by tweeting that although he believes physical fitness is important he is "more concerned" about the development fitness of his state.

Earlier Rahul Gandhi also countered this fitness challenge same way by challenging Modi to create more jobs and solve issues of people.

There was also a statue of Buddha in the garden where he did yoga "inspired by panchtatvas or five elements of nature-Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash".

The prime minister's one-and-a-half minute video comes almost a month after he accepted the fitness challenge thrown by Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli. As Modi rightly described in his tweet, it was "extremely refreshing and rejuvenating" to see the head of the country doing some breathing exercises amid greenery and chirping birds in an exquisitely shot video. "The entire fraternity of fearless IPS officers, especially those above 40", he wrote on his twitter handle. I also practice breathing exercises.

Wearing a black tracksuit, Modi is seen walking on a track created around a tree, doing stretching exercise and sitting on a rock for meditation.

One of Narendra Modi's most enduring images as prime minister has him performing yoga on Rajpath, New Delhi's main boulevard, along with hundreds of Indians behind him.

The video was in response to the #HumFitTohIndiaFit ("India's fit if we are fit") challenge posed to him on May 23 by cricketer Virat Kohli.

The #FitnessChallenge was started by Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore‏ on Twitter.
