An all-new "Fire Emblem" installment, titled "Three Houses", was announced at the Nintendo media event at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 on Tuesday. Three Houses, this new game in the popular tactical game will be launching in Spring 2019. Fire Emblem's return to consoles has been a long time coming, as the last console-based game was Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn way back in 2007.

The game is set in a new world-Focilan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and people. It displays the tactical unit gameplay accompanied by a glimpse of the combat menus and battle animations.

Your protagonist meets three main characters-Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude-who play important roles in the story. For instance, Fire Emblem: Heroes will sport anime-style cut-scenes, and it will also allow players to interact with party members outside of battle. A brief trailer showed a top-down overview for moving troops, followed by some cinematic close-ups for deadly attacks and special abilities. This is a big change from just having the main characters dueling on the screen whenever players are in battle. After all, that game has ended up being the most popular title in the franchises and is one of the few mobile games whose monetisation is on par with what Nintendo expects.
