Liverpool ace Sadio Mane has dismissed claims of talks with Real Madrid.

"I also do not see myself as a superstar, but as part of a team that wants to achieve a lot in the World Cup".

In the aftermath, a report suggested Mane had agreed a deal in principle to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, before Zinedine Zidane's shock resignation as manager.

I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years.

'But you never know what will happen in the future.

The former Metz and Red Bull Salzburg winger admits he found it hard to put the defeat behind him but he has now turned his focus to the World Cup in Russian Federation with Senegal.

However, Mane did add the caveat that he wants to start winning trophies in the near future, something Liverpool haven't been able to do under Jurgen Klopp. The whole club worked hard for this Champions League title, but Real Madrid were the better team that day.

Mane struck 20 goals and laid on nine assists in all competitions last season and enters the World Cup as the undisputed star of the Senegalese team who will be hopeful of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition. The defeat is ticked off.

Mané has more pressing matters on his mind right now, starting with Senegal's World Cup campaign which gets underway next Tuesday against Poland. "That's my whole focus". "To be honest, I am very happy to play this tournament together with my team", he said.
