Embodying the "next" era in smartphone technology, NEX will usher in an entirely new concept of the smartphone for today's users, allowing them to experience the future and innovations beyond the imagination.

The VIVO NEX will be available in China later this year. As the name itself suggests, the Vivo Nex is a standard mid-range smartphone and the Nex Ultimate is a flagship smartphone, but both the devices differ only in terms of the chipset and RAM, storage options.

Internationally, the Vivo NEX featuring Snapdragon 710 SoC is known as Vivo NEX A. The 128 GB and 256 GB NEX Ultimate variants are internationally known as Vivo NEX and Vivo NEX S. Vivo's sound assistant, Jovi, also got new powerful voice commands, image identification, and a new dedicated button.

This is where the Vivo NEX comes in, a device that breaks all established notions when it comes to contemporary bezel-less design. The Vivo NEX smartphones come in Diamond Black and Red colors. Aside from almost non-existent bezels on the sides and a truly small bezel on the bottom, the NEX's front is just screen. The 8-megapixel selfie camera slides out from the top of the phone - it sounds clunky, but I've tried it out on the Apex and it was quite usable, protruding and retracting in under a second. That fingerprint scanner is not visible on the phone's body, as it is placed underneath the phone's display. The Vivo Nex A is equipped with a 128GB of inbuilt storage.

The phone also has Vivo Game Engine, which is made in partnership with Tencent Games. We hope it will be launching in other places, but right now it's only confirmed as a device for those in China where the price has yet to be revealed.

The phone sports a massive 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2316*1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.3:9.

Vivo mounted the 8MP front-facing camera on a "micro-stepper motor" that lets it elevate very precisely.

The smartphone boasts an in-display fingerprint scanning technology plus an elevating front camera.

The rear camera system contains two lenses, one 12MP with f/1.8 and another one with 5MP f/2.4. NEX could mean "next" as the phone delivers innovation. The full-screen display also features an under display fingerprint reader. The phone's cameras come with at on of modes as well, as far as the front-facing camera is concerned, you can choose between Live Photo, Face Beauty, AI HDR; Portrait Bokeh, and Panorama modes, while AR sticker and AI filters are also included.

It's not clear whether the Vivo Nex will be released internationally. The selfie cam implies that there's no facial recognition support for this one.
