According to a new CBS report, both Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Raj Shah are planning on quitting their jobs at the White House before the end of the year.

In a series of heated exchanges between Sanders and reporters at Thursday's press briefing, the press secretary seemed to have trouble explaining the reasoning behind the practice of separating children from their parents when they cross into the USA illegally.

The White House on Thursday defended the Trump administration's policy of separating children from their family members detained at the US-Mexico border as a way to deter illegal crossings.

"Where in the Bible does it say it is moral to take children away from their mothers?" he asked. Given Huckabee Sanders's history of lying, as she did in her tweeted response to the story, I'm going to err on the side and say that CBS is probably a lot more trustworthy than Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

When pressed to point out a specific verse justifying the policy by Acosta, Sanders lashed out at the journalist.

"It's not about that ... honestly, answer the question", the reporter pressed. "That is actually repeated a number of times throughout the Bible", Sanders told Acosta at the press briefing.

"Our administration has had the same position since we started on day one, that we we're going to enforce the law", she said.

When Acosta pointed this out to Sanders, she replied by calling him stupid.

Love's last day in her job will be Friday, two White House officials said. I know it's hard for you to understand even short sentences, I guess, but please don't take my words out of context.

But family separation is not a law.

ACOSTA: That's a cheap shot, Sarah. And these laws are the same that have been on the books for over a decade.

President @realDonaldTrump: "What they did to @PressSec at the White House Correspondents' Dinner".

SANDERS: It's a moral policy to follow and enforce the law. "Come on, Sarah, you're a parent".

"Why is the government doing this, Sarah?"

Sanders, again, did not respond to Karem's statements. You guys don't have to do that.

Some Trump communications aides have been shown the door, some have been assisted in finding posts elsewhere within the administration, and some left to escape the stress and intensity of working for Trump, people familiar with the situation said. Sanders went on to blame congressional Democrats for refusing to close supposed "loopholes" in immigration laws that protect migrants throughout the asylum process.
