Murray will go head to head with Kyrgios in the Fever-Tree Championships at Queen's Club on Tuesday as the Scot returns after 11 months out with a hip injury.

Nick Kyrgios was delighted to be named the opponent for his friend Andy Murray's long-awaited comeback.

"I'm really looking forward to playing again", Murray said in his regular BBC Sport column.

The 12-time Grand Slam champion also said grass might not be the ideal surface for Murray to make his return.

"With sport you play to win, but when you are away from something you love doing for nearly a year, you realize you're playing because you love it". "But the one thing that could be a bit unsafe is slipping on the grass".

"I'm looking forward to going out there and playing". I want to serve big and play big and try and win. 'I don't know if I ever have that mentality. You know, I'm going to go out there and do the same thing. If I win, I win. Probably can't take me seriously, he probably had a lot to deal with and a lot of decisions to make. What I always expect from him.

"People might say, "oh, you've got it great" - which I'm aware that we do, and I'm very lucky I get to play tennis for a living". I watched a little of him today in practice.

'For sure, it's going to be a good match. Even against Roger I just had a lot of fun when I was out there.

'I mean, obviously I'm going to go out there and win tomorrow, like, I want to win. But I'm not going to not have fun or not enjoy myself at the same time'.
