It seems Universal Pictures missed out on an opportunity to promote inclusivity through one of its biggest tent pole properties.

One of the more favored characters among audiences is Dr. Zia Rodriguez, a paleo-veterinarian portrayed by Daniella Pineda, and the actress herself revealed an important aspect of her character that didn't actually make it into the final cut of the movie. "I look at Chris and I'm like: 'Yeah, square jaw, good bone structure, tall, muscles, '" Pineda remembers. In a scene involving her traveling in a vehicle with Chris Pratt's character, she originally made a remark about her sexuality. "It would gross me out, but I'd do it".

'I understood why they cut it - for sake of time, ' she said in an interview at Build on Friday.

The main crux of the movie is when Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.

But a May GLAAD report stated that just 12.8 percent of studio films from past year included LGBTQ characters, the lowest percentage since the organization began keeping tabs in 2012. Tessa Thompson has noted that her Thor: Ragnarok character Valkyrie is bisexual in the comics, and though that isn't addressed in the film, the actress "was faithful to that in her depiction".

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which finally stomps into American theaters this Friday after dominating the global box office for weeks, looks to be yet another enjoyable chapter in the Jurassic Park franchise's elongated life.
