Germany will need to transform from a schoolboy team to a fighting unit if they are to have any chance of progressing in the World Cup, says midfielder Sami Khedira. Visit "My Teams" in your Settings and select your favorite team to set up scores and news alerts.

Peru coach Ricardo Gareca said his team will not be bullied by France in their World Cup clash on Thursday, but admitted: "We are not on their level anywhere".

Peru are not to be underestimated by France. A draw will keep their hopes alive as one point from Thursday's game will give them confidence to defeat Australia in their third and final game.

France: Hugo Lloris, Benjamin Pavard, Raphael Varane, Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Hernandez, Paul Pogba, Ngolo Kante, Blaise Matuidi, Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe. Captain and veteran striker Paolo Guerrero is expected to return to the Peru line-up after sitting on the bench during the game against Denmark. But poor finishing kept Peru from taking any points, and La Blanquirroja will be forced to put up its best front against the French to attempt to fight back into contention for Group C.

That will be both frustrating and gratifying for the South American side, but they will know they won't get as many opportunities against France, whose defensive unit is as impressive as the attack. "We know where we want to go for the next match". "There are no favourites in this World Cup, it's been shown".

The last South American team to beat France at the World Cup were Argentina in 1978.

France and Peru's only previous encounter was a friendly in April 1982. Since then, France are unbeaten in their last seven World Cup fixtures against CONMEBOL opposition (W3 D4), with three of the last four games ending goalless.

Antoine Griezmann has been directly involved in nine of France's last 13 goals scored in major tournaments (World Cup and European Championships), with seven goals and two assists.

Peru mustered 17 shots in their opening game against Denmark, but still failed to find the net in a 0-1 defeat.
