Once 2017's glimpse into the humble lives of Derry's residents proved to be a box office juggernaut, it only made sense that studios scramble to get the next adaptation of a story penned by Stephen King up on the big screen, chief among which will be IT: Chapter Two.

Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink are the latest two actors to have been cast in the forthcoming IT Chapter Two movie.

James McAvoy sent out a photo on his Instagram account, stating it was "Day one on IT 2" yesterday, but this new report from Deadline reveals that principal photography won't actually begin until next month.

The "It: Chapter Two" cast also includes Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, and Isaiah Mustafa. Tom is Beverly's abusive lover in the book.

The sequel is a time jump into the future but will still follow the now-grown members of the Losers' Club. In the Stephen King novel, Mellon was a gay man living in Derry who was attacked by bullies.

Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee and Dan Lin return as producers. The sequel will hit theaters on September 6, 2019.

It Chapter Two will have higher expectations than the first R-rated version, which grossed $327.5 million domestically and topped $700 million worldwide.

Xavier Dolan is perhaps best known for his work as a filmmaker, breaking into the indie scene in 2009 at the age of just 19 with his debut film I Killed My Mother, which he wrote, directed and starred in. He went on to act in Good Neighbors, Heartbeats, Tom at the Farm, and Elephant Song. Most recently, his film It's Only the End of the World garnered the Ecumenical Jury Prize, the Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival as well as César Awards for Best Director and Best Editing.
