As CrimeOnline previously reported, surveillance video uploaded to social media appears to show a group of men drag the 15-year-old, later identified as Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, out of the store and slash him with a machete and another bladed weapon. His sister-in-law Ione Feliz said to WABC 7, "I don't understand how they let the store owners or employees or whoever is there let him come back out like that, when he's cut in the main artery". "No one in their offices contacted me", said Leandra Feliz, 48 - as she left home Sunday to make funeral arrangements for her 15-year-old son, Lesandro Guzman-Feliz.

The memorial continues to grow for the teen who was fatally stabbed outside of a bodega in Belmont, as search efforts continue for the suspects in the case.

According to published reports, members of the Trinitarios street gang apologized to Lesandro's family, saying the men attacked the teenager believing he was someone else.

"His dream in the future was to be a detective", Guzman-Feliz's mother told the New York Post. Another distressing and graphic video shows him on the sidewalk, near the hospital, bleeding.

Guzman-Feliz reportedly lived one block from the bodega where the incident occurred and was heading downstairs to repay $5 to a friend, according to reports.

Guzman-Feliz eventually died of his injuries. I know it doesn't mean a lot. Witnesses can be heard screaming, "Run to the hospital!"

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

"They are actively investigating several promising leads and have gotten several tips from the public that they are working right now", a senior police official said Friday.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
