The "EastEnders" star has hit out at the contestants of this year's show - which also includes his co-star Danny Dyer's daughter Dani - for going on television to "open their legs" in return for fame and has admitted he's so angry with the concept of the programme that he won't let his 21-year-old daughters Chloe and Charlotte audition.

"A third added: "@MrDDyer She's a proper diamond! Watch out Jack, Danny is sharpening up his dad talk as we speak.

On Sunday night's episode pen salesman Jack is seen taking the next step with his love match Dani.

A giggly Dani could barely hold in her reply: 'Course I'll be you're girlfriend!'

"That's his daughter and they have a very close bond".

"I do really want to be with you and walk out of here with you and be together".

"I told you, I've really got feelings for you".

'It's weird how I've got to this stage where I'm even thinking about wanting to meet your mum and dad and making a good impression.

Dani reassures him, admitting: 'I definitely think they'll like you, there's no reason to not like you, is there?' Because Jack doesn't like that. "And Jack can have the second". I feel like I want that to happen. That's what I'm anxious about'.

Elaborating further in the Beach Hut, Jack, 22, explains how he's looking for something long term: 'The next girl I want to be my girlfriend, I don't want it to be for six months or a year'. The next person I want to go with, I want to make them happy and I want to be with them so it's a big, massive decision.

'It's so nerve wracking because where we've got something so good now.

Finally mustering the courage to approach Dani, he takes her to the outside beds and makes his heartfelt declaration.

He then asked her the all-important question leaving Dani throwing her hand over her mouth.

The nation of Love Island fans gave a collective cheer as Dani said yes to Jack's proposal...to be his girlfriend.
