"I think President Trump has created this", he said.

Former George W. Bush cabinet official Carlos Gutierrez said on CNN's State of the Union with Jake Tapper that he's not anxious about White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders after a Virginia restaurant owner requested that she leave the restaurant.

According to Sanders, she was kicked out of the identically-named restaurant because she works for President Donald Trump.

The left-wing Washington Post was quick to come to Wilkinson's defense, saying she was at home when a distraught staff called her with the news that Sanders was at the restaurant and she and her party had been served cheeseboards.

Shelley Deproto turned each of its 16 tables twice, she said, "doing what we always do - serving food and drinks and wine, making everyone comfortable".

"I'm not a huge fan of confrontation,"Wilkinson, who then went to the restaurant, said".

Some angry reviewers have apologized, but many continue to post their anger without realizing they're doing so on the wrong page.

Citing her opposition to the Trump administration, Red Hen owner Stephanie Wilkinson asked Ms. Sanders to leave the eatery in Lexington, Virginia, about 200 miles from Washington, D.C.

The former ethics chief in the Obama administration says White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders broke federal ethics rules with her viral tweet on Saturday.

So far Sanders hasn't elaborated further on the incident that happened in Virginia.

Walter Shaub, former director of the OGE, criticized Sanders' misuse of her government position on Twitter, comparing it to "the same as if an ATF agent pulled out his badge when a restaurant tried to throw him/her out".

"I was babbling a little, but I got my point across in a polite and direct fashion", Wilkinson told the Washington Post.

Employees at the restaurant told The Associated Press that Wilkinson wasn't available for further comment.

"Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left".

Some people posted support for the restaurant, however.

The separation of families trying to enter the the southern border has intensified political differences and passions that were already at elevated levels during the Trump presidency.

This was the second public incident involving social aggravation of a Trump aide in recent days, after his Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled while dining out at a Mexican restaurant earlier in the week. "Do the fools who threw Sarah out, and the people who cheer them on, really want us to be that kind of country?"
