The confidence coursing through Southgate's squad was apparent before tomorrow's World Cup semi-final showdown as his players maintained they have achieved nothing yet and vowed to be bold as they seek to reach Sunday's final. England made Croatia pay instantly, with Kieran Trippier bending a ideal free kick over the wall and by a diving Danijel Subasic to give the Three Lions an early 1-0 lead and a dream start. Croatia will likely control possession but that plays into England's hands.

JUST SAYING Croatia: "It won't be easy for us".

"Come here, and we'll watch it together". We're here to play football, enjoy ourselves and give our all.

"We can feel the energy and the support from home and it's a very special feeling and a privilege for us", Southgate said on Tuesday. We have not been exhausted. We never want to be reactive, ...
