He revealed that after getting the look right the main challenge ahead of him was to perform like Sanjay Dutt.

Udayan Mitra, Publisher - Literary, HarperCollins India, said: "I am absolutely thrilled that we will be bringing out Sanjay Dutt's autobiography in the summer of 2019".

With this book, the reader will finally get to look into his soul. "Finally, we will get to hear the fascinating stories about his youth, his Bollywood stint in the '80s and '90s, his experiences in prison, and his self-discovery, that have never been told before", the publishers said.

They billed the attempt as "perhaps the biggest, most dramatic and honest star memoir to emerge out of Bollywood".

After the stupendous performance of Rajkumar Hirani's "Sanju" at the box office, not only the heartthrob of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor was lauded for the biopic but also the whole team was equally applauded for the success.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and bankrolled by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Fox Star Studios, Sanju focuses on Sanjay Dutt's battle with drug abuse and legal troubles due to illegal possession of arms. If the film keeps the same pace for next few days, it will soon cross the Rs 300-crore mark.

"I have had the fortune of living a remarkable life, full of ups and downs, joys and sorrows". I told her I will pick up those documents when I come back. "I am looking forward so much to sharing my memories and emotions with readers everywhere", Sanjay said in a statement.

"This is a memoir that is going to be told from the heart, and will reveal a Sanjay Dutt that even his most ardent fans don't know".
