Croatian players left a pitchside photographer sprawled out on the floor as they celebrated Mario Mandzukic's goal in extra time which handed them a World Cup semi-final win against England.

Meanwhile, over in Russia, Paul Dubberley, 58, from Aldridge is watching his ninth World Cup. "I'm really excited about what this squad can do in the future", said Kieran Davidson, a fan from Stockport who had booked a last-minute trip to Moscow after England booked their semi-final place.

Most residents are confident that the Three Lions will beat Croatia and move one step closer to a shot at silverware.

"I think tonight (Wednesday) will be the biggest test for them. We can not do anything to stop this from happening other than hope that they have read this letter and think twice before acting".

To be fair to Neville he has been gushing over England's performances in Russian Federation, so he will be quite happy to have been proved wrong by wing back Trippier, centre-back Maguire and goalkeeper Pickford, who have all been enormous so far for the their Country. "Croatia deserve respect, they've got some wonderful players".

"My allegiance is with England, my home country, but of course this has been my home for the last 15 years so I'm looking forward to a very special night".

"I don't think England could go on to win the World Cup, I think France and Belgium have got too much". He said he that England would reach the final and that he expected the atmosphere in Croatia to be electric.

"I'm excited to see if Croatian fans are as excited as we are".
