Chelsea winger Kenedy is set to re-join fellow Premier League side Newcastle United on a season-long loan. The deal, however, is thought to be another loan deal after Chelsea were believed to have quoted £30 million to make the deal permanent.

Newcastle are looking to again loan the 22-year-old, taking him to St. James' Park for the whole of the forthcoming season.

If the move goes through, Kenedy will once again be looking to play on a regular basis under Benitez at Newcastle.

During his time at Newcastle, Kenedy made 13 Premier League starts and became popular member of the side.

His long-term future at Chelsea is uncertain, particularly due to the confusing managerial situation at the club. Others including Bayern Munich, PSG and even Liverpool have shown interest.

The Brazilian midfielder only returned to the Blues camp at Cobham on Monday for first-team training, though it appears his return to Stamford Bridge will be short lived.

Emerson Palmieri's arrival from Roma for around £20m at the end of the winter window then pushed Kenedy further down the pecking order, and it was decided that a loan to Newcastle for the remainder of the campaign was the best option to rebuild his value. In fact, the winger impressed so much however, that the north east club are doing all they can to get him back for the 2018/19 season.
