Nabil Fekir has told Lyon president Jean Michael Aulas to sell him to Liverpool.

Liverpool pulled the plug on a £53million deal before the World Cup after concerns were raised about Fekir's knee and Lyon refused to lower the asking price.

The playmaker has gone on to play at the World Cup, with many still expecting Liverpool to make a new move at some stage - and Fekir is seemingly doing all he can to facilitate a move.

And the France star has reached an agreement that Aulas will at least reopen talks with the Reds to explore the prospect of resurrecting his "dream" move.

Just last month English giants Liverpool agreed on a deal to sign Nabil Fekir and lure him to Anfield only for a medical to refute the move.

Speaking to RMC, the 69 year old Frenchman revealed that he will not be selling the Lyon captain this summer and Aulas said that Fekir will be remaining at the Groupama Stadium playing for the Ligue 1 outfit the coming season, "I think that Nabil will be at OL next season, "I have nearly a father-son relationship with my players, I gave him the chance to go to Liverpool because it was his dream club".

And Lyon are already thinking about replacements for Fekir should he exit for Liverpool.
