The Los Angeles Lakers announced 2018 NBA Draft first-round pick Moritz Wagner will miss the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League due to a left knee contusion. It was also earlier reported by Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet that aside from the knee injury, Wagner also seemed to have sustained a minor ankle injury.

Wagner, who entered Tuesday's game averaging 13.6 points and 9.2 rebounds between five summer appearances in Sacramento and Las Vegas, finished with seven points, two rebounds and two steals in his nine minutes of action against the Knicks.

The Lakers have prior experience with key players suffering an injury at Summer League, as Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart went down a year ago.

The Lakers drafted the MI big man with the No. 25 pick in the 2018 National Basketball Association draft.

In three years in Ann Arbor, Wagner produced a solid stat line of 10.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game to go with an excellent 54.7 percent shooting from the floor and 38.5 percent shooting from distance.
