Buckingham Palace has confirmed further details about the USA president's meeting with the monarch ahead of Mr Trump arriving in the United Kingdom on Thursday.

Since the Queen came to the throne in 1952, 13 United States presidents have been elected, and Elizabeth has met all of them except Lyndon B. Johnson and, so far, Donald Trump.

A Guard of Honour, formed of the Coldstream Guards, will give a Royal Salute and the U.S. national anthem will be played.

The US president and first lady will then join the Queen for tea at the Berkshire castle.

During the visit, President Trump is to meet with British Prime Minister Theresa May, holding a joint press conference at Chequers on Friday, while the first lady will accompany her husband to dinner at Blenheim palace on Thursday and then for an audience with the Queen on Friday.

The police will be out in full force to cover Mr Trump's short visit in the UK.
