Poised to celebrate World Emoji Day on July 17, Apple has released previews of the next 70 emoji coming to iPhone, iPad, Macs, and Apple Watch with a free software update.

Last year the new set of emoji was added with iOS 11.1 in October, while the year before that new emoji didn't arrive until iOS 10.2 in December. Among them include even more hair options to reflect diversity - there are even emojis of bald people, male and female - as well as more expressive smiley faces. Apple notes that a growing list of animals are represented on the emoji keyboard including the kangaroo, peacock, parrot and lobster. There's also additional food emoji for mango, lettuce, cupcake, moon cake and other popular items. Other new characters will launch later this year including a new superhero emoji, a softball, nazar amulet and infinity symbol.
