The 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man and the Wasp, has shown an upward trend at the Indian box office, and has made Rs 16 crore in two days of release.

This has set the stage for the Marvel film to aim for the 50 crores lifetime, which would be good enough to make it count as yet another superhero success in India. Recently, Kevin Feige, mastermind of the MCU, opened up about the mysterious project, particularly if it will leave fans with another massive cliffhanger. Note that this definitely does not mean the end of the MCU (as Marvel Studios already has plans for movies up to 2024), just the overarching story of Thanos and the Avengers' attempts to stop him.

"But, storylines can come to an end".

"Return Of The Jedi was an ending for a long time and as a 10-year-old in 1983 that carried me through 30 years until there was a sequel", he recalled. The best stories do come to an end. But at least you can expect to walk out of Avengers 4 without wanting to throw your popcorn in the air in frustration.

The Peyton Reed directorial "Ant-Man And The Wasp" finally hit the theatres in India on Friday. The repercussions of his universe-altering finger snap are still felt to this day, and we will have to wait until next year's Avengers 4 to see the complete ramifications. It doesn't matter how many films you do, but sometimes you find yourself on a set in a scene and you think, "Oh, wow, there's Laurence Fishburne, and there's Michael Douglas, and there's Michelle Pfeiffer". The still-untitled Avengers 4 film, to again be directed by the Russo Brothers, will be released on May 3, 2019.
