The feature will expand over time, Google said. Over the years, it disappeared completely.

To make your busy lives simpler and to help you keep on top of everything on your daily to-do lists, Google has announced that, starting this week, Assistant will provide a "visual overview" of your entire day when you you open the app.

Google Assistant’s new visual snapshot will give you a rundown of your entire day
Google Assistant gets more helpful

The new features are available on Android and iOS devices in all languages supported by the Google Assistant, accessible by tapping on the new icon in the top right corner of the screen after you've activated your Google Assistant. The new UI includes proactive suggestions and personalized information much like Google Now back in the day. Travel times will always appears at the top of the page, letting you know exactly how long it will take you to get home, get to work, or arrive at a meeting. It shows immediate events in your upcoming future-including those pulled from email confirmations as well as your Calendar-any reminders you have set, packages you might be expecting, and more.

Google will continue to add content to this new snapshot, too, including tips for upcoming activities you might enjoy, lists from Google Keep, recommendations based on your listening history for podcasts and music, and an overview of your notes. It's not a radical departure for Google, especially if you're used to receiving "leave now" notifications and similar alerts, but the consolidation could prove supremely helpful for those days where the sheer number of tasks proves overwhelming. The update is now live and should hit all Android and iOS devices shortly.
