Xiaomi will launch two Android One smartphones next week

Xiaomi a few weeks back started rolling the Android 8.1 Oreo update for its Mi A1 smartphone. But the phone's predecessor the Mi Max 2 - another giant phablet that was released past year - cost around US$250.

Coupling with the launch of Xiaomi MI 6x, the company is set to launch new Mi A2 on July 24 in Madrid, Spain.

After several leaks and rumors, Xiaomi has confirmed on Twitter that the company will launch not one but two Android One devices. The Aliexpress listing also confirms that the Mi A2 Lite will be identical to the Redmi 6 Pro in terms of key features and specifications. The tweet caption reads "Are you a big fan of #MiA1? You will love this.#Xiaomi #AndroidOne #2isbetterthan1".

Xiaomi knows its game well, and the teaser of Mi A2 just confirmed it. We have to wait for the official announcement by the company for the other variant. Moreover, the top end variant with 128GB of internal storage could be priced at CHF 369 approximately Rs. 25,600. While the 3GB RAM variant of the smartphone is listed at $189.99 (Rs.13,000 approx.), the 4GB RAM variant of the smartphone has been listed at $209.99 (Rs.14,400 approx.).

As far as specs are concerned, Xiaomi Mi A2 will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

"According to early speculation, it will come with a 5.84" Full HD+ display with a notch and it runs on a familiar Snapdragon 625 processor with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The Mi A2 is expected to be powered by a 3,010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The Mi A2 will measure 158.70 x 7.30 x 75.40mm and weigh in at 168 grams. It will also have expandable storage. In the photography department, Mi Max 3 will sport a dual-camera setup featuring 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors.
