According to Rolling Stone, as originally reported by TMZ, the rapper was initially pulled over for illegally tinted windows, which prompted a search that uncovered at least one gun and less than an ounce of marijuana.

Jail records seen by Metro.co.uk confirm that Offset was booked under his full name, Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and his Georgia address.

Friday's arrest resulted in four charges against Offset: possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana (one ounce or less), possession of a weapon during a crime, and an improper lane change.

Hip Hop artist Offset was arrested by federal agents for possession of a gun outside of Atlanta.

Since Offset is a convicted felon, he's not allowed to have firearms. He spent eight months in custody before accepting a plea deal, which involved serving five years of probation.

The rapper and wife Cardi B welcomed their first child together, daughter Kulture, on July 10.

This isn't the first time Offset has gotten into trouble with his auto, as in May he was involved in a auto crash which saw him have to swerve on the road to avoid a collision with another vehicle.
