A new set of challenges is live in Fortnite for Week 5, including one which tasks you with using three Rift's on the map.

As usual with Season 5, the challenges are now split into two sections, Free and Battle Pass.

If you complete at least four of the seven week 5 challenges then you will receive a 5,000XP reward. To offset that, there are two in the giant wooden llama statue to the north that will count towards your progress. Chests in Junk Junction are literally everywhere, so that one is pretty easy too.

This is simple enough - what you have to do is walk through any of the rift portals that you can find randomly throughout the Fortnite map.

Find out what changes the game delivered with the latest patch here. You should be able to pick off a few people more easily with that added element.

The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty. Generally, you'll have to run around and just keep your eyes open, so we recommend just getting on with the other challenges and staying alert.

One thing that's worth remembering is that you'll need to quip the golf ball toy from the emote menu.

One of this week's challenges tasks players with hitting a golf ball from tee to green on five different holes.

You can also hit the ball harder and farther by looking up when you shoot. This time, while it's technically called the Fortnite Snobby Shores treasure map, the reward is as ever, elsewhere: in Haunted Hills. You'll end up in Haunted Hills and 10 Battle Stars richer. Before, only Battle Pass members could partake in the challenges. If you go here straight from the Battle Bus, try and swoop down into the lower portion of the mine quickly so you can be first to the floor loot.
