Forbes published an article on Wednesday confirming that the developer's popular slash-and-loot series would arrive on Nintendo Switch by the end of 2018 in the form of an "Eternal Collection". The Eternal Collection will include the base game from 2012 alongside its subsequent Reaper of Souls expansion, and will also also include the Rise of the Necromancer DLC that was released for the game previous year.

A while back there were rumblings and rumors of Diablo III potentially coming to Nintendo Switch, but nothing substantial emerged from the rumor mill and Blizzard remained silent.

When Nintendo Switch Online goes live in September, Diablo III will also be one of the games that makes use of the new cloud saves feature. The news prematurely surfaced ahead of Blizzard's official announcement scheduled for tomorrow, dropping all the details before being deleted.

Eternal Collection could be coming to Switch, if a now removed article from Forbes is any indication.

Diablo III on the Switch will support local co-op for up to four players and can be played in the console's docked and portable configurations. Sure, the game's over six years old at this point, but Diablo III ought to be great on the go. Also revealed as a Tri-Force portrait frame, Chicken pet, and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings. Four player co-op is available on a single Switch, four players can play together on four different Switch units wirelessly without an internet connection and finally, players can also team up online via Nintendo's new Switch Online service.
