While Love and James may have seemed to lack chemistry at certain points during their time in Cleveland together, after so many trips to the Finals and winning a ring, they're now good friends.

Daryl Morey believes LeBron James is the best player in the history of the National Basketball Association "by a bit of a big margin".

The Los Angeles Lakers built a puzzling, seemingly odd-fitting team around LeBron James this summer.

November 4 vs. Toronto (6:30 p.m. PT; Spectrum SportsNet) The two biggest moving stars this offseason - James and Kawhi Leonard - will duel for the first time as members of the Lakers and Raptors, respectively. That roster will also include an intriguing blend of other youngsters such as Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram as well as wily, playoff-tested veterans like Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson.

The Lakers own the combined worst record in the association over the past five seasons but look for that to change with the injection of James into the Lakers talented young core.

After LeBron went to Los Angeles, multiple murals that popped up featuring James in the purple and gold were vandalized.

Griffin noted that for as good as James is, his teams have still hit rough patches at times. With the Clippers dominating LA the last few years, the Lakers are going to come out and reclaim what is theirs and win the season series. Some think James and the Lakers realized they did not have a realistic shot at competing this year when the Lakers balked at the asking price for Kawhi Leonard and did not land Paul George. With the NBA making its schedule to give national televised game participants as little incentive as possible to rest their players, there aren't many highly competitive back-to-backs where both teams are contenders.

As a team last season, Los Angeles finished 35-47. In the West, that could cost the Lakers a playoff spot.
