Dallas Cowboys lose Pro Bowl RG Zack Martin to knee injury

The harsh reality of how quickly a season can change on an injury is omnipresent during the National Football League preseason, and you can forgive Cowboys fans for panicking after seeing star offensive lineman and All-Pro guard Zack Martin limp off from the Cowboys' Week 2 preseason game. The Cowboys were running a sweep play to the right, and Martin was cut low while pulling on a block by Bengals defender Dre Kirkpatrick. Martin limped off the field and spent a good portion of time in the medical tent before heading to the locker room.

Dallas' O-line was largely considered the NFL's best unit for several seasons entering 2017, when Tyron Smith's health and the free-agent departure of Ronald Leary, contributed to an uncharacteristically down year.

The All-Pro right guard left the game only two minutes into the second quarter and will not return.

Also not concerned? Teammate La'el Collins, who shrugged off the injury in a way that would lead you to believe Martin is going to be perfectly fine. That plan largely depends on a healthy Martin and Frederick anchoring the offense up front.
